Binance Smart Chain Testnet Faucet FAQ

Select Binance Smart Chain and the Testnet network on this page, enter your wallet address or connect a wallet, then complete the verification to receive BNB on Binance Smart Chain Testnet. The base drip is free and requires no Quicknode account, no post on X and no minimum mainnet balance, so a brand new wallet can claim. Optional bonuses increase the amount but are never required.

You can claim BNB once every 12 hours per network, and the exact base amount for Binance Smart Chain Testnet is shown on the next step, once you have entered a wallet address. Binance Smart Chain Testnet is the test network for BNB Smart Chain, and its gas token is tBNB, the test version of BNB. It runs the same proof-of-staked-authority consensus as mainnet and is EVM compatible, so Solidity contracts deploy without modification. The ecosystem is now branded BNB Chain, so you will see this network called BNB Smart Chain Testnet in current documentation.

Binance Smart Chain Testnet uses chain ID 97, and you can view your transactions on BscScan. To add the network to MetaMask or another wallet, enter that chain ID together with an RPC URL and the explorer URL, or connect your wallet on this page and approve the network switch when prompted. The most common cause is the 12 hour cooldown, which applies per wallet address per network, so a repeat request inside that window is rejected. Other frequent causes are a failed bot check, an address that is not a valid Binance Smart Chain address, having the wrong network selected, or the Binance Smart Chain Testnet faucet wallet running low on funds.
